Euro Plant Finder has sourced machinery from the UK and Europe for Nordic buyers since 2003, and now offers the same buyer-side service into ten overseas markets — plus, of course, right here at home in the UK. The process is the same everywhere — search, assess, negotiate and coordinate delivery — with each country's import, biosecurity or customs requirements handled from this end.
Whether buying from Europe makes sense depends on the machine. Europe may make sense because of specification, availability, condition, age/hours, specialist equipment, timing, auction opportunity or overall landed value. We assess the actual requirement rather than assuming international sourcing is automatically the right answer.
Great Britain
This is where we're based. Most machines need no import, no customs, no biosecurity step at all — you're buying from the same market we work in every day. Where the right machine sits in Europe instead, we handle the same import paperwork and customs clearance we manage for every other market.
Republic of Ireland
Machinery from elsewhere in the EU moves freely into Ireland; machinery from Great Britain clears through Irish Revenue under the UK-EU trade agreement, with an EORI number, CE conformity, duty and VAT all confirmed upfront.
Northern IrelandMachinery from the EU moves into Northern Ireland with no customs step; machinery from Great Britain moves under the Windsor Framework's internal market arrangements, using the free Trader Support Service — handled from this end either way.
Finland
Machinery from elsewhere in the EU moves freely into Finland; machinery from the UK goes through full customs clearance with Tulli, an EORI number, import VAT and conformity checks — all handled from this end, whatever the season.
Sweden
Machinery from elsewhere in the EU moves freely into Sweden; machinery from the UK goes through full customs clearance with Tullverket, an EORI number, import VAT and conformity checks — all handled from this end.
Saudi Arabia
SASO/SABER conformity certification through the Heavy Equipment Regulatory Center is required on import, and age limits apply — we confirm compliance and manage export documentation on every machine we source from the UK and Europe.
United Arab Emirates
There's no biosecurity regime to navigate — we handle export documentation and customs clearance on every machine we source from the UK and Europe, whether it's headed through Dubai or Abu Dhabi customs, and check machine age against current import rules before you commit.
Australia
We handle DAFF's biosecurity rules — cleaning, certification and compliance — on every machine we source from the UK and Europe, from cropping gear to mine-spec plant. UK-built machinery currently qualifies for duty-free import under the Australia-UK trade agreement.
New Zealand
