Republic of Ireland — agricultural machinery Republic of Ireland

Republic of Ireland — UK and European agricultural machinery sourced for you

The right machinery from Europe — with inspection where it counts.

Sourced from our network of dealers and private owners — or bought for you at a UK auction.

Tractors, combine harvesters, balers, sprayers and more — found across the UK and European market, investigated by someone on your side, and shipped to Republic of Ireland with DAFM biosecurity handled.

Seller verified, evidence gathered DAFM biosecurity managed No purchase, no sourcing fee Brand-agnostic — green, red or blue
Plant health & customs — managed for the route

Used agricultural and forestry machinery brought from Great Britain may require DAFM (Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine) plant-health documentation — a phytosanitary certificate and cleaning free of soil and plant material — and clears Irish customs; machinery moving within the EU does not. Where a machine bought in Ireland is routed via Great Britain, we arrange the correct transit paperwork so it keeps its EU status. We manage cleaning, evidence and the right import paperwork for your route. Exact duties, taxes, certificates and inspections are confirmed upfront per machine, route and origin.

Buying at a UK auction

The UK has one of the deepest used-plant auction markets in the world. Machines come out of hire fleets, contractor disposals and finance recoveries, and they sell on a fixed public calendar to whoever turns up. It's an opportunity if you're standing in the room and a gamble if you're not — and from the Republic of Ireland, you're not.

We tell you what's coming up

Sale dates well ahead of time, including Euro Auctions and Ritchie Bros, so you can plan around them instead of hearing about a machine after it's gone.

We send you the catalogues

Catalogues are published days or weeks before each sale. We send them over as soon as they're out, so you're looking at the same list as the buyers who'll be in the room.

We go and inspect

In person, with photographs and video. Hours, condition, and an honest read on how the machine has been treated — plus anything we could not check, such as whether it could be started. We tell you what we saw, not what we assumed.

We bid for you on the day

To your written limit and never above it.

Then we handle the export

Declaration, commercial invoice, certificate of origin, transport to port, shipping — the same as any other machine we source. Customs paperwork for the Republic is handled the same way it is on a sourced purchase.

You're never bidding blind

The whole point is that somebody who knows machinery has stood in front of the lot before you commit a euro to it — and has told you honestly what they found.

How the money works

You register your own account with the auction house, you fund it, and you pay the auction house directly. Euro Plant Finder never holds your money, never bids as principal and never owns the machine — we act as your agent, to the limit you set in writing, and invoice our fee separately.

One buyer per lot

We'll only ever represent one buyer on any given lot. We can't advise two customers on the same machine while holding both their maximum bids, so if a lot is already spoken for we'll tell you it's taken — and nothing else about it.

The process

From your brief to your farm — managed start to finish.

You tell us what you need. We do the searching, the travelling, the negotiating, and all the paperwork.

01

Your brief

Tell us the machine — make, spec, year range, hours, attachments and budget. Or just describe what you need it to do on the farm.

02

We search the UK & Europe

Dealer networks, auctions, private sellers. We find the right candidates and shortlist honestly — not just the easiest options.

03

Machine checks and inspection

We verify the seller, gather the evidence needed to assess the machine and arrange a physical inspection where you want it or where the risk justifies it. Scope and cost are agreed first.

04

Negotiation & purchase

We negotiate on your behalf. The seller invoices you and you pay the seller directly. Where appropriate, we help make sure the agreed price, condition and seller commitments are clearly documented before payment.

05

Export, plant health & customs

For GB-origin machines: cleaning to plant-health standards, phytosanitary certificate where required, Irish customs and UK export documentation, ferry or short-sea shipping — all coordinated for the route.

06

Delivered to Republic of Ireland

Tracked from port to delivery. One person responsible for the whole chain.

The real risk

"Missing a harvest window because the machine wasn't there in time — or wasn't what was described — costs far more than the machine itself."

From Republic of Ireland, you cannot fly over every time you find a machine. You're relying on photos, seller descriptions, and hope. We remove that gamble entirely.

Plant health and customs — handled for the route

Used agricultural machinery brought from Great Britain may need DAFM plant-health documentation and cleaning free of soil, and clears Irish customs; EU movements do not. We manage cleaning, evidence and the right paperwork — so the machine normally clears without issue.

Seasonal timing — we build the timeline backwards from your deadline

If you have a harvest window, tell us upfront. We'll be honest about whether the timeline is achievable. A realistic 2–4 week total is achievable — and we'd rather say that now than leave you short.

Machine checks and inspection

We verify the seller, check hours, wear and service history, and gather the evidence needed to assess the machine honestly — including if the answer is to walk away. A physical inspection is arranged where you want it or where the risk justifies it.

Export and shipping — one managed chain

Transport to port, export declarations, ocean freight, bill of lading — all coordinated. You don't have to manage separate freight, customs and shipping contacts from the other side of the world.

What we source

Agricultural machinery — across every category.

Green, red or blue — brand-agnostic sourcing across the full UK and European market. If it works on a farm, we can find it, check it, and get it to Republic of Ireland.

Tractors — all sizes and configurations
Combine harvesters
Balers — round and square
Sprayers — trailed and self-propelled
Telehandlers & handlers
Cultivators & tillage equipment
Drills & seeders
Mowers, foragers & grassland equipment
Why Euro Plant Finder

On the buyer's side — never the seller's.

No inventory to clear. No seller commission. We may know and work with the seller, but the seller does not pay us. Our commercial relationship is with you.

Container consolidation — multiple machines in one shipment
Container consolidation

Need multiple machines? We can fill a container.

We can source several machines from different sellers across the UK and Europe, consolidate them at a UK or European port, and ship in one container — cutting your per-machine shipping cost and managing every step to your Irish farm.

Buyer-side

We represent you — not the seller. No inventory, no bias, no incentive to push a particular brand or machine.

Optional inspection

Arranged where you want it or where the risk justifies it. Not bought blind off a listing or trusted from photos alone.

No sourcing fee

Unless we complete your deal. Inspection costs quoted upfront, agreed before we travel.

Why source from the UK & Europe?

Better spec, lower price — if you know where to look.

The UK and European used-agricultural-machinery market is one of the deepest in the world. Well-serviced European-spec tractors, combines and implements — often with full dealer records — at price points that can compare favourably even after shipping.

Stock depth

Hundreds of UK and European dealers, auctions and private sellers — a wider pool to search than the Irish domestic market for most ag machinery categories.

Pricing

For the right machine, the UK and European price — including shipping and our fee — can still come in below what you'd pay at home. Especially for larger tractors, combines and specialist implements.

Spec & condition

European-farmed machines — John Deere, Fendt, Claas, New Holland, Case IH — are often well-serviced and come with full dealer histories. Condition varies, which is exactly why we verify before you commit.

Models & configurations

Some spec levels and configurations aren't available in Republic of Ireland at all. If there's something specific you're after, the UK and European market is often where it exists.

Republic of Ireland — common questions

What Republic of Ireland ag buyers ask before they enquire.

The questions that matter — answered honestly before you pick up the phone.

What plant-health and customs requirements apply to agricultural machinery entering Ireland?

Used agricultural and forestry machinery brought from Great Britain may require DAFM plant-health documentation — a phytosanitary certificate and cleaning free of soil and plant material — and clears Irish customs; machinery moving within the EU does not. Where a machine bought in Ireland is routed via Great Britain, we arrange the correct transit paperwork so it keeps its EU status. Euro Plant Finder coordinates cleaning, evidence and the right import paperwork for your route. Exact duties, taxes, certificates and inspections are confirmed upfront per machine, route and origin.

How does seasonal timing affect sourcing agricultural machinery from the UK?

If you have a seasonal deadline, tell us upfront. Ferry transport from the UK to Ireland is quick — typically 1–3 days once the machine is loaded. The main timeline is the sourcing phase: 1–2 weeks to find, inspect and purchase the right machine. A realistic total from brief to delivery is 2–4 weeks.

Are you brand-agnostic — or do you push certain manufacturers?

Completely brand-agnostic. Green, red or blue — John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Fendt, Claas, Deutz-Fahr — we source whatever fits your operation and budget best. We have no supply agreements or commercial relationships with any manufacturer or dealer network. Our fee is paid by you when we complete your deal, so the only incentive we have is finding you the right machine.

How long does it take to get machinery from the UK to Ireland?

Ferry or short-sea shipping from a UK port to Dublin, Rosslare or Cork typically takes 1–3 days. Add 1–2 weeks for the search, inspection and purchase phase. A realistic timeline from brief to delivery is 2–4 weeks, depending on where the machine is located.

What does the service cost for a Republic of Ireland buyer?

The buying agent fee is success-only — nothing to pay if we don't complete your deal. Inspection travel costs are quoted and agreed upfront before we travel. You pay the seller directly; freight, shipping insurance and Republic of Ireland import costs are also quoted before you commit.

Can you source more than one machine in a single shipment?

Yes. Multiple machines can be sourced from different UK and European sellers, consolidated at a UK or European port, and shipped in one container — significantly reducing the per-machine shipping cost. Useful if you're replacing or upgrading more than one piece of kit at once.

Can you bid at a UK auction on my behalf?

Yes. You register your own account with the auction house and fund it yourself — we never hold your money or bid in our own name. You give us your maximum in writing, we inspect the lot beforehand and report honestly on its condition, and we bid to your limit and never above it. If you win, you pay the auction house directly and we invoice our fee separately.
